The Front Door Repair

The Front Door Repair

This project has been spear-headed by Jim Bauermeister and the Johns family. Times have changed and so has Redeemer. At one time the majority of our parrishoners entered the chancel through the main entrance. Then automobiles became more popular. We built a Sunday school addition and more classrooms in the education addition. We paved the parking lot. Now most people enter our facilities thorough the west doors that were installed at the time of our handicap access - elevator project. Time has taken it's toll: Too many hot-rodding snow plows on Rudisill. Too many errant baseballs. The wood in these doors is about at (past) the end of it's useful life. (We are thankful that we have a good alarm system.) Our intention is to complete the replacement of these doors during 2005. Just a little more giving will push this project over the top. There continues to be one very important use for these doors. The faithfully departed who are buried from the Church make one last trip through these doors en-route to their final resting place where their bodies remain until the day of our Lord's returning.
